Dreams = Darwinism?
Interpretation of dream research by Cognitive Neuroscientist Antti Revonuso from the University of Turku in Finland supports the likely theory that dreams developed in mammals as a means to rehearse survival tactics, such as escaping the chase of a predator (a common dream among people of all cultures and genders even today), and that those who were best able to survive these mental, sleeping rehearsals were most likely to survive in waking actuality. In other words, people who were the "best dreamers" were also the people who were most fit for survival (and pass their skills on to their descendants). Tell that to dreaming nay-sayers!
